Program Description: The MARC (Maximizing Access to Research Careers) Program an undergraduate, NIH-funded honors research training FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM for undergraduate students interested in pursuing a PhD or MD/PhD in Biomedical or Behavioral Science related fields post UCR graduation.

Who is the program for: This 2-3 year program is for current freshmen, sophomores and juniors (at the time of application). Note: If you are currently a junior and plan to take a 5th year [expected to graduate in 2028-2029], you are eligible to apply.

Program Start Dates: June 22nd, 2026

Note: If you are committed to an outside summer research program Summer 2026, you can begin the program Fall 2026. However, you still must apply by the given deadline.

Program Length: 2-3 years depending on applicant level (programming begins annually the end of June).

Stipend Amount: Monthly stipend @ approximately $1180
